以色列陆军参谋长赫尔齐·哈勒维证实，对叙利亚的袭击是先发制人的。  

他的声明称：  “我们摧毁了这两个机场，这是我们对伊朗和阿萨德政权挑战以色列主权的回应，这是初步回应。”
