最近美军在中东的基地屡遭当地抵抗组织的袭击，这回也算是被蹲到了波大的。

First US military casualties from Iranian proxy strikes

Pro-Iranian militias launched a drone strike on the Tower 22 outpost in Jordan: the attack killed three US troops and wounded 25 others.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the incident. American President Joe Biden also made accusations and threats of retaliation.

The incident will obviously inflame the already aggravated situation in the region. Especially given the information that there could be US Special Operations Forces fighters at the site.

The diplomatic scandal against the backdrop of the strike also looks interesting. Representatives of Jordan said that there was no strike on the territory of the country, and the Americans were actually struck at the base in At Tanf, which differs from the version voiced by CENTCOM through CNN.

The U.S. presense in Jordan is official. But in Syria, their bases are, to put it mildly, illegal, and therefore anyone can formally attack them, because local groups are exercising their right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN - "the right to individual or collective self-defense".
